1. Invest in a quality water bottle.
You should drink at least 8 glasses of water per day. Using a quality water bottle that keeps your water cold or even allows you to infuse it with fruit will help. Find a quality water bottle that has clear markings so you can track your intake daily.
2. Download calorie tracking apps.
There are tons of free apps that help you count calories and track your eating habits. Consider downloading a calorie tracker app or food diary app that helps you track your consumption so you can see where changes need to be made.
3. Utilize technology to track your steps/activity.
Most iPhones come with a pre-installed activity app you can use to track your steps. If not, FitBits and other devices can be used to track your steps and physical activity. Consider one of these tracking devices so you can make sure you are getting plenty of physical activity in.
4. Try walking or exercising with a friend.
Having a partner can help you feel more motivated to work out and even build accountability. Try walking with a partner so you can motivate each other and encourage each other. Having that support can make a huge difference.
5. Stock up on foods high in fiber.
Foods high in fiber keep you feeling full longer and help you feel more satisfied. Plus, your body needs fiber to stay healthy and regular. Stock up on high fiber breads, bars, crackers, and vegetables. This way you stay full longer and don’t get the urge to snack.
